Amanda is an independent vocal coach & associate teacher for Los Angeles and Skype (for those long distance). Amanda has over 15 years of experience in the industry, and has performed in 1,000s of shows across the country as a featured vocalist!
Amanda was born and raised on the stage. From the age of 12 years old, when she was hired for her first gig, she knew performing was what she wanted to do for life! Amanda’s daily life has always been music, having started playing piano at the ripe age of 3 and having over 1,000 shows under her belt by the age of 16! As a child, she had something every night of the week, whether it was a dance, voice, acting, piano class or rehearsal. She hasn’t stopped living and breathing music ever since.
She started working professionally at the age of 12, performing 5 days/week, and became the vocal director at 14 for the show’s quartet. By the age of 19, she was playing weekly in the night clubs, entertaining and holding the rowdy crowd with energy to keep the dance floor packed until it was past “last call”. She continued to hone her craft (and make a living) for the next several years, singing virtually every genre known to man and traveling the country as the lead singer for one of the most sought-after cover bands of the past two decades, playing all of the high-end socialite weddings and private functions with guests lists she can’t even speak of (due to a yes – you guessed it – “confidentiality agreement”).
Amanda’s passion is sharing her gifts and helping others do the same, while positively impacting the lives of those she meets. She has studied under Tom McKinney since 2001 and is well known as one of the most versatile female vocalist. She remarks, “Tom’s vocal technique has allowed me to expand my vocal range to more than four octaves – and I am no longer limited by my abilities! It has changed my life and career! I am excited about sharing these techniques with singers/songwriters/performers who are serious about improving their vocal skills and pursuing their talents.”
